a weekend of creativity...

i went to spotlight on saturday on sydney road to buy some cute, warm fluffy fabric, cotton and needles to make a little 'ugly doll' for my b/f for Vday. Hopefully i'll get him made on time....i'm yet to cut out his arms, buy stuffing or sew him together. Im quite happy I got his face done while the boy was out fishing- he doesn't suspect a thing.....although he did wonder wat the little bits of blue fluff were on the floor that i missed cleaning up! (ah from 'washing' i claimed!)

While i was at spotlight I also made a few scrapping purchases; a new 12x12 album, some epoxy brads, photo anchors, cute type chipboard things, paper, a mini ring album and 2 cute little ribbons.....

Brad and I went to bunnings this weekend to get some 'handy man' supplies to make our new apartment more homely.... i found some cute little paint chips and storage for scrapping supplies also! Brad set up the surround sound for our TV, and I weather-proofed our outdoor setting - after sorting out my new scrap stuff of course! After months of hording scrap stuff, dreaming of scrapping once again, scouting websites, blogs, online scrapstores and searching for inspiration - I finally broke the scrapping drought and sat down and did a little page- here it is.....

Me

Hi,
My name is Ali- if you haven't already seen. I've decided to start a blog- a relfection and a sneak peak into what inspires me, who motivates me, what I love, and the creative processes I try to explore.

I was inspired to start a blog by a few fellow scrappers (including ruby rox and witchy) from scrappbooking memories.....

I'm hoping this blog will give me the motivation to do more scrapping, take more photos and have more 'me' time in my life. My first couple of posts will be of old scrap pages and photo's I've taken to give you a sneak peak of who I am.....

The trees below the creek at home- reminds me of an enchanted forrest- with fairies and goblins...

I was trying out my new camera, set it up on the tripod- and look what I got!? I love watching lightening, and am thrilled my new apartment has an awesome balcony to watch it on....

A page i did a while ago - the start of uni......meeting new friends. Was a surreal time and so many changes, something i needed to document.

Thats all for now. x Ali
