You must post the rules before you give your answers.
You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name.
Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don’t have a middle name,
just use your maiden name. After you’ve been tagged,
you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers.
At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name.
(Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they’ve
been tagged and need to read your blog for details).
my middle name is
JULIE
J – juice, I love apple juice, yet I never seem to buy it for the fridge at home
U – UFO, I love a TV show called Roswell. It used to be on a few years ago, a best friend and I used to watch it all the time. I now own the whole box set on DVD.
L – learn. I am constantly learning, at the moment I feel like im going through a different stage in my life- learning about ME- and trying to better myself.
I – intractable (stubborn) yep I am and I’m trying to be better at not being stubborn…
E – education, I went to kinder, primary and secondary school in a little town called Tallangatta. I have studied a Management tafe course and will obtain a Arts (Public Relations) degree from Deakin University in April.

latest challenge

i'm doing this challenge for embellished called 'In your skin', this week's challenge was all about 'eyes' - interpret any way you want.....

So i googled some quotes about eye's and this one popped up from Albert Eistein, "Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own heart". It totally caputres how i'm feeling right now- I want to be a better person- to be happier, no - live a happier life. This challenge has really opened up my eyes (no pun intended) about my personal journey through life, and what makes it important.....

Here's this week's attempt:

some current loves

No scrapping news….but I thought I’d do a quick me update….whats happening…..? Work has been SUPER busy I went to see JUNO last night, one word, no two words – “childlike, funny” I saw it with em, my lovely friend. It was so funny, and innocent and happy- but sad. Just a great movie to see with a great mate!! GO see it! I had yummy, yummy tappas for tea also
I’m having a bodyshop party this weekend- YAY!!
I am having my b/f’s sister and her husband over for tea tonight
I’m currently working on my submission for this weeks ‘In this skin’ challenge on Embellished…..almost there
I ordered a Q tea kit, which I can’t wait to be delivered, I’m totally getting into the unconventional scrapping mode…..
I’m loving the Red Velvet kit club blog- and the journaling book kit on there!! This site is amazing- so many inspirational LO and projects on here- and they have an etsy shop!!
my latest esty finds:
These cute little rings on etsy are so adorable, I’m so getting one!! They even have cute owls!! Also Adrienne Looman's etsy shop has great prints, but also jewellery that she 'attibuted' from a juciy couture design, i'm loving it and going to see if my mum's friend can make me something like this..... :)

Abstract painting

Just a quick blog while on my lunch break at work! My boy and I did this painting together on the long weekend, I was going to do a cool black and white 'stencil' type image of us- except my drawing was so skewed!! So we drew some crazy lines and coloured em in haphazardly, (you know like those squiggles/doodles you used to draw when u were little and colour them in???) We left bits of white and didn't care about the sides, there are two silver squares and the black lines are slightly raised in parts.....

The painting hangs proudly on our living room wall- sorry mind the crappy light and curtains, we've just recently moved and haven't got around to fitting 'real' blinds yet. happy scrapping. Ali

a weekend of scrapping....

My weekend started on Friday night at Flutterbuys for a crop night, I met some lovely ladies, had a great time, a lot of laughs, and I managed to get 3 pages done!! - oh and brought a few supplies....

Saturday morning I did some cleaning, washing and got my hair cut- short - it feels so different and Brad was so surprised!! hehe.....I made a valentines day card for Brad and also started the Calender challenge for Scrapworld. It's a cute little album I got from spotlight for like 5 bucks! and its a 3 ring cardboard album... For each month I will do a similar layout, with memoriabilia, a calendar and photos from each month. This month, the front page photo was one i took of Brad and I- this first for the year! Anyway I got the layout done and started to get some photos and layouts organised for the Scrapbooking memories crop on Saturday!!

Here's my attempt at the Scrapworld challenge: (Front & Back cover)
(Middle pages)

I organised my scrap space, took a few photos of the apartment also. Brad and I had a lazy night in Saturday night, I cooked tea, we ate on the balcony with a carona and watched 'Premonition' with Sandra Bullock in it, was a good movie!! Sunday, I finished off the Janurary calendar challenge, we got some fruit and veg and grocery's. Brad and I has brunch in St Kilda with Em (one of my uni friends), we dropped her off and checked out her new place in Glen Iris..... not much else to report really.....

im feeling verrry creative......

After not scrapping for basically 3 years- i left home, went away to uni, lived on 'res', moved into a house, moved in with my b/f and having uni work, work experience and part-time work- well i didn't really have the enerygy, space or time to scrap. So now, i've moved up to melbourne, my boy and i have a place of our own, a 2nd bedroom/study- where i can scrap. I love it!!! I did one page last weekend (see previous post), but i've been buying so many scrapping goodies lately- i've gone a bit nuts and now am living of wheat-bix till i next get paid (ha only kidding) but i do have like NO money......

Place's i've been buying from are: thelittlescrapbookshop along with BlueBazaar -by the way, which has a HUGE birthday sale on at the moment! I managed to pick up, like 37 items for $55!!! including two sets of clear stamps which i LOVE - Mayaroad clear calendar stamp , which was only $7.70, down from $22 and Love Elsie Lola Bloom clear stamp - only $10, down from $25. I and lots of rubons and other little embellies, some papers are only 33c- arghh i went mad!! All i can say is: BARGAIN!! Hmmm, my boy and i did a painting which i adore, and brightens up our living room so much- i'll take a piccy on the weekend and post it up monday, pinky swear.....

Am very excited for the CHA 2008 winter release's of new products, all time fav includes American crafts- i went through my papers last night, have tons of those papers- love em. Check these newies out! loving them!!!

Their new 'Amplified range' :) soooo pretty! has details like gold foil (second from right, scalloped edges and debossing........)

Preetyy matching ribbon!!!

I'm also loving scrapbooking forums and blogs, loving Scrapworld . They've got a great competition on at the moment- to create a calendar album of some sort for a whole year, basically documenting the everyday things- which I love the thought of! Also can't forget my friends over at the Scrapbooking memories forum - who are all fantasic and provide instant inspiration and support! Can't wait to meet some of you at the monthly crop! Speaking of crops, i'm going to one at Flutterbuys tonight after work....i'm pumped for it....It'll be great to meet some more scrappers, and I'm hoping to get into designing/classes down the track (hopefully.)

xx Ali
