a thread over at the Scrapbooking memories forum called chinese whispers gets you to 'lift' elements of a scrappers layout before you, then someone lifts yours.... Here's mine, I took swirls/flourishes, bits of blue, journalling box and ribbon off musebaby's:

interior/inferior?
I would love to make my apartment look like 'ours' - we need to own it.....our stuff is in, but because the apartment is Brand new - it looks like a metricon plastic home...i want to make it look like me...and like brad.Been thinking a lot about interior, an awesome gal (Jess Fulkerson) put me onto the apartment therapy website
Some random thoughts:
- I like minimal furniture/objects (as space is premium) plus we don't really need to buy more. I love this apartment....its minimal, but has grouping of objects, neutrals (with splashes of blue and green, loving the plants, and cool tea light wall hanging, the glass coffee table is a great idea to save visual space, and the rug adds warmnth...mm)
- The aparment is neutrals- so we'll add splashes of colour...we've done a bright painting (see earlier post)- love it!!
- I'm visiting ikea next week, and are finally going to get some dining table chairs (and probably a few other bits and pieces!) I am not sure whether to get 4 or 6, at $69 a pop......it's going to be either $276 or $414.....Considering there are already 2 people living.....it's easy enought to have 4 guest over hey?? what do you think??
- I want a few more 'nic nac' type things to put around the apartment, I found this awesome 'nest' on etsy, complete with ittle' wooden eggs too!
There's a big pile of things I'd love off etsy- check out these wall decals- I love the writing one, would look awesome in our bedroom....

and this little bowl- how cute!
- I want my bookshelf OUTSIDE of our spare room wardrobe- it takes up too much space, and i want books/bits n pieces to be on display....or i could pick up this beauty from great dane, don't know how much it is, but red would look great in our study :)
- I'd love to buy a sideboard for our 'gap' is inbetween the TV and fridge, however i will need to 'delete' our mini bar fridge, and get a bigger fridge before i can do this....arghh.....jpg)
lovin danish sideboards-add a bit of retro, this one from Great Dane furniture- $2,950 (just a tad outa my price range though!!)
It all takes too long, and there are way too many I WANTS on the list above. Ill leave you with some inspirational interiors I found today...

How much does this litle owl remind you of hambly screen prints? :)<
don't forget, can you please help- do I need 4 or 6 chairs???
xx ali

a really GREAT weekend- minus a HUGE hangover!
Just thought i'd share my (non-scrapping) weekend....
I picked up my body shop party stuff (all the lovely orders) for my friends and I! Already tried my new makeup- its awesome!
I went down to Geelong (Gtown) about lunchtime after visiting my fav bookshop 'Brunswick Bound' - i picked up the cutest little button and 'street wear' fashion book for my friend birthday!!
In geelong I visited a friend who i used to work for- who had twins (1 1/2 months prem)..... for a few hours. I got to nurse them, feed them and burb them- so gorgeous!!!
I did some shopping- yay. Picked up a cool salmon (lovin this colour atm) coloured shirtdress, a belt, new little HOT black boots from target, some black tops for work...and a few things from supre....
My mate and I had noodle box for tea and got ready to go out for drinks for my darling friend- jacq's birthday! Us GJ's (im an ex gloria jeans employee) gals enjoyed drinks. Other friends got back from over seas- was awesome to catch up with them. i also caught up with an ex uni res friend!!

Brad and his mates joined us....the girls left. Brad, his mates and i continued to 2 other places....the night was awesome and a mate (behind the bar) gave brad and I a few drinks....
didn't get home till 5am!!......
So i didn't get any scrapping done...but had a ball with mates, then the 'let down' on sunday....breaky in geelong, more shopping, drove home, sleep on couch, grocery's and stirfry for tea!!

a nose knows??
hello again.
looks like my comments are dwindling on my blog :(....oh well it could be because i just cannot find enough time to scrap! (and then photograph and upload to my blog...)
Well last night I managed to complete this weeks embellished dare- in your skin! I used a Qtea kit for this, makes it SO easy peasy!! This week was nose, mine is not too big, not too buttony - but u see it's a little crooked, not a big bend, but noticible enough to me to make me tilt my head a certain way when a photo is taken!

In other news I've been really busy at work, catching up with friend and family, going to functions etc. and this is continuing too - especially over easter- yay looking forward to camping....
Also I've started getting back into exercise! Yep I've gone for a run/jog the past 2 nights, and am joining the gym (it's a 2 minute walk away) this month!

Aren't these flowers so pretty?

Yes they are, but they're "sorry" flowers. Brad (my b/f)got angry with me last week for staining his new shirt in the washing and said i was 'incompetent' it really hurt!I put a lot of effort into keeping our house neat, and making sure I'm trying to be the best girlfriend I can be....I told him the shirt may be ok after some stain remover and nappy san- u know what, the stain came out!
anyway after much pleading from him, and flowers the next day i came around and accepted his apology....
This is us from Monday evening after a long day of sweeping, mopping, washing, tidying, dusting, folding, ironing, making beds, shopping (not the fun kind-grocerys) , unpacking and cooking!!! - yeh i still love him!!

Last but not least, my love of etsy formed a while ago....scouring cute handmade scrapping items, jodies buttons etc....and i've been thinking of buying some cute artwork for our new place- for the loungeroom- today i found this piece from restlessthings

I love it SO much and can't wait till it arrives.... i've also ordered The Shield Season 3 for my boyrfriends birthday off ebay, and hoping to win the latest chicane CD....wish me luck! :)
till next time. x ali

WOOP!
WOOP WOOP....So i've never been on an 'offical' design team or anything and.....I found out yesterday I got a Guest Design Team position over at Quirio kits - thanks so much Tammy for the opportunity!!
Other news, I'm really happy at the moment. Things are bubbling away nicely in the cauldron of lige, I've been focusing on things I love - photography, catching up with friends and family, hanging out with my boyfriend, cooking and of course scrapbooking!!
I took this photo Sunday night from our balcony- sunset over the city....

I haven't seen a friend of mine who lives a few hours away for a while, and thought i would send her a little something to tell her i was thinking of her... So i made this little 'postcard' and 'photocard':
{The postcard:}

{Postcard & photocard}

{Back of postcard & photocard}

* A tip: I got this postcard off the front of an interior design/living magazine, another great idea would be to get some of those cool free ones you can get from cafes/bookshops to use too!!
