Christmas parties

No scrapping to share, sorry. I've been busy wrapping up work - oh my gosh - I've literally had a FLAT OUT week! So glad work is finished for the year!

I had my work Christmas party on Saturday night, it was lovely - 3 course meal, drinks, dancing, employee of the year awards (I got one vote which was great considering I only started in October!) Employee of the Year won a plasma TV, runner up got a Wii!! Congrats to Az and Simon.

We had a ball - leadership even dressed up as the Village People and did the YMCA, and even did 2 encore performances!! :) hehe

Yesterday after feeling very hungover, I packed up my car, had breaky and drove 4.5 hours home to my parents place....So good to be home, I'm rested, fed and relaxed - but boy it's hotter up here than in Geelong!

So last night, I arrived home about 7pm. Freshened up and went to a family friend Kris Kringle - good fun!

Merry Christmas to you all, I hope Santa finds you!! Have a safe and happy holiday if I don't speak to you beforehand! xx

Tis the season to be jolly

My weekend consisted of this:
- A new hair do (caramel foils and a trim)

- Date night to see this:

I'd like to note, I was a bit aprehensive about seeing this movie, however I really enjoyed it. A fair bit about the Stolen Generation, Hugh Jackman was HOT, Nicole was a bit....blah - funny in some bits, but she played her character well I think. The dialogue was a bit OTP bogan in some parts, and the little Aboriginal boy....OMG what an awesome effort by him! :)
I went and saw it with this lovely boy:

- I also had a bit of back pain, thanks to playing tennis last Thursday when i shouldn't have....
-Some scrapbooking (3 new pages!):

Also did the following:
- Relaxing.
- Reading this: (best book ever)

- Baking banana muffins.
- Breakfast in Torquay.
That's about it really.
In other news, my back is still very sore (after 2 chiropractic appointments and a Drs appointment). I have "femoratica" - "A condition affecting the femoral nerve/s, usually presenting as pain in the front of the thigh..." and the worst part is....."it [the pain] usually settles within eight weeks..." So i'm booked in for physio this afternoon - hopefully that helps out!

Oh and I put up my Christmas tree for my housemates and I - decked out with lights and all - what a difference it makes to the festive spirit!

It's also my last week at work, I'm pretty busy actually... looking forward to my work Xmas party on Saturday night, and heaing home for the Chrissy break on Sunday!

Catch u later. x

baby's first christmas - cute album to make

So after making a cute little baby album (see previous post,"oh i've updated my blog", Oct 28)....we'll my 'sister-in-law' who I gave the album to, asked me to make her friend one (who's just had a baby girl).....

I used Kaiser 'Wings' album, Christmas "Wish Upon:" papers, matching epoxy brads, snow pearls, flowers. I also used Autumn leaves clear stamps, Basic Grey letters, kindyglitz, carolees creations letters and autumn leaves stamps. So cute, and easy to make!!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! I went up to Melbourne after work on Friday and got to see my wonderful boyfriend, we watched a really interesting movie - "The Orphanage" - by the guy who made "Pans Labirynth" - a great movie, even if it was in spanish with subtitles!! :)

I caught up with Skye and her brother, Kane for lunch on Saturday and I got pretty much all my Christmas shopping done too!!

Yesterday I had the Kaiser family day, BBQ, families, lots of kids running around, a Santa, fun and games, presents for the kids - good fun!!

I'm back in the groove

So I’ve been scrapping pretty much every night this week....

You know that little baby (angel wing) first Christmas album I made for my nephew a few posts back? Well I gave it to my ‘sister-in-law’ and she loved it! So much she asked me to make a girl version one for one of her friends who’s just had a baby! So I’ve been making that (i just need a few basic grey letters and some stamps to finish it off).

I’ve also been finishing off the Kaiser ‘Days till Christmas’ beyond-the-page countdown for my house-mates and I, sorry I didn’t take a pic last night...will share soon. I used Kaiser’s 'Christmas spirit' papers – so bright and funky!!

I made a birthday card for a friend last night, super quick and easy. Add I stip of paper (Kaiser 'distracted' here), 3 different size flowers, a bella bling brad, plus dymo labeller and a card = easy!!

And scrapped up a cute boy-ish type layout of my two cousins and I using some KI memories alpha paper, Kaiser ‘Superhero’ paper, a cute chipboard star and other bits and pieces – and easy LO to make!

This weekend I'm doing my christmas shopping in Melbourne and catching up with Skye! Really looking forward to it! I hope you all have a fab weekend too!

a bit of scrapping

The first LO is the layout I made in 30 minutes for Kaiser's 100-to-1 Scrap Off using their November paper range, Sakura Park.

The second layout is a monthly layout I try and make (i've done June and Oct this year.) I'll be doing a November one in the next week or so.... Here I used some fun American Crafts velvet letters and ric-rac ribbon and Basic Grey paper.

This is a CJ for Rachel's CJ - Skye's CJ swap on the Scrapbooking Memories Forum. Rachel's is lessons learnt from art....

Oh and check this out - how gorgeous is this new paper line from Kaisercraft?

I hope you all had a lovely weekend like I did - spent with friends, loved ones and family.
xx
