Flying on an air plane....

Heading to LA tomorrow – till the 3rd Feb.

So excited, anxious and a little nervous. I get to also visit the land of wonder (Disney land), check out the stars in LA, do some shopping on Rodeo Drive (yeah right!)....

So I thought I’d leave you with my December 2008 layout:

And a fun and funky layout about I how feel about my work right now:

I’ve also started a small random chipboard album to bit lots of bits and pieces in during 2009, think ticket stubbs, business cards, photos, postcards and other random bits of things. Inspiration from the lovely lady over here at ScrapinStyle, Kate Obrien - her 2009 daily album is unreal! I've only started, but I'll show you more when I get back.

In other news, I went out for drinks with my boyfriend and his mates, some gals too. We had a ball, drinking lychee vodka & cranberry juice, dancing and drinking the night away.

Brad and I also went out for a yummy afternoon tea of smoothies and hedgehog - we sat at table D:

Have a great week everyone. And I'll catch you all soon when I'm back on Aus soil...

more scrapping...

This week has been good. A bit of scrapping, catching up with a fantastic friend for dinner - we exchanged late Christmas presents, she gave me a really thoughtful gift - a small tub of body butter that I can take on my work trip to the US! I've been missing my boyfiend, working hard and flat out and getting prepped for CHA some more. I'm just so grateful that my work has faith in me to come along to the show; it's really exciting one second and I'm nervous and apprehensive the next - what if I stuff up? What if something I've organised goes wrong - eep!!

Anyways, I've got some new layouts to share:
A layout for my mum - love this photo of her (i think it was taken when she was about my age maybe), using Kaiser Esther's Guestlist paper:

A layout for my boy and I - fun basic grey Recess paper:

An old layout to share, my mum and I:

I also wanted to say a big thank you to Skye for nominating me for the Proximity award!! It's so special that people love reading my blog, and I wanted to thank you all for visiting and leaving comments!! I also want to thank you all who are reading this, and so many more for inspiring ME - you're work is amazing!! So THANK YOU!!!
See you guys soon.x

scrapping

I’ve been busy.

Work has been flat out – the last week was crazy – and yes it was only my first week back! I was getting plans organised for my work to head to CHA – Anaheim....yep and that includes me too!! So excited I get to go!

I’ve been catching up with friends, shopping at Westfield Doncaster (I got some cute Maxwell Williams black and white polka dot egg cups) and Brad brought me a cute singlet/dress and top from Jay Jays, I went out for drinks in Melbourne and had a good catch up with my boy on the weekend!

I’ve also been scrapping up a storm, check out my new layouts:
A layout of my Grandparent’s using Kaisercraft’s newest paper, Argentella:

A layout of my other Grandparent’s, K&Company paper. I had fun stitching on this and inking the KC wood flourish:

A ‘2009’ layout – about my goals and resolutions for 2009 – Hambly and Rose Moka here:

Last of all, a cute mini album using Urban lily die cut booklet, stitch bound, and using Kaisercraft’s new Sweet’s paper:

Catch you guys soon - and thank's for visiting!

A new day and a new year!

Whoa! These holidays have whooshed past in a blur! Many apologies for not blogging – wait no I don’t apologise, it’s been fabulous, being away from ‘home’ in Geelong, away from work, away from the computer - to just relax, catching up with family and friends and traipsing about wherever I’ve felt like going.

So where do I start? Here’s my Christmas break in a flash!!
I enjoyed some quality time back home at the farm, helping out mum and dad, relaxing on the back lawn reading twilight while sunbaking, playing Guitar Hero with my brother, reading magazines, drinks at the local pub on Christmas Eve and just relaxing.

Christmas was great. It’s always lovely going back home to open presents on Christmas morning with mum and dad, spending the morning checking out my new gifts, helping mum and heading off to see family for the day. I spent Christmas Day at my Uncle and Aunty’s with my two cousins and Nan and Pop. We had a blast swimming, playing Sing Star, drinking and eating WAY TOO MUCH food!

Brad came to visit for a few days, we celebrated my mum’s birthday on the 28th Dec with family again, dining out at a pub for a yummy lunch.

Brad and I then spent a few days at his parents farm – more swimming, catching up with family, reading my book, watching movies, riding the bike around the farm and MORE RELAXING.

Back to Melbourne for New years Eve. Brad and I have had a lovely holiday just the two of us spending time with the people we love, and doing the things we love doing. We’ve been shopping, eating out, seeing movies (Twilight), walking and more relaxing!  We spent New Years Eve together, it was perfect, nibbles, watching a movie, flipping channels on the TV and a mad dash into the city, finding a park and dashing across the parks to watch the fireworks along South Bank!

The last few days I’ve been shopping, cleaning, pulling down Christmas trees, organising my scrap space, fixing up my outdoor area, scrapping, beaching it (with Brad), and even more relaxing.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic 2009 – filled with lots of the things I love doing. 2009 for me is about PRIORITIES. It’s about realising the most important things in my life and focusing on those – those who I love and love me back, doing the things I love and working towards betting my career, learning, travelling and most importantly having FUN!

Happy New Year to all!
