As my trip to Thailand draws closer I am getting more and more excited.
I know, it's not a LONG adventure, but it's an adventure at least!
And one worth recording!
Whenever I travel I always collect tickets, napkins, recipts, brochures, business cards... anything...
So, for this holiday instead of keeping a diary and collecting bits in an evelope/bag and then scrapbooking them later (which I still haven't done for my TWO USA trips)...
This timeI thought I would scrapbook along the way.
After seeing Rose's
blog post about her
all her stuff and
all her photos from her European trip I was inspired...
Sidenote: I can't wait to see what she comes up with because I'm finding it so hard to document my 2 two-week working holidays to the US in Jan 2009 and Jan 2010!! After this trip I'm going to get those two trips down on paper/in an album...
So anyway before i get side-tracked anymore... I had a look here, and revisited some of my favourite mini album makers,
Ali,
Elise and
Christina along with the
sweet link she posted for some ideas....
So I visited Kmart and left with a $5 mini photo album (holds '36 photos') along with a pack of 100 6x4inch index cards....
I aim to have 2 pages per day (give/take), to include quick notes and the bits and pieces I collect along the way....
Here's my front cover....
I'll take a fineliner, some stickers and that's about it.
When I get back I will add my favourite photos to the pages, stick/staple/pin everything in and my holiday album will be complete. :)
I love this idea of having something completed and my memories recorded immediately - not months/years down the track!
I'm also taking a small notepad to keep a 'diary' as such to scrapbook more photos later on. :)
